Journey Students is an exciting experience where students will encounter God in a unique way while having fun and growing together. Each week students are challenged mentally, physically, and spiritually. They are continually being led out of their comfort zones, making radical life changes, connecting with each other and understanding their relationship with Jesus. Students are taught biblical concepts like discipleship, tithing, praying, fasting, and serving … And they’re “getting it”!!! All students from 6th-12th grade are welcome and most definitely will be included in this, "come as you are, who you are, where you are," experience. Join us in Loving God, Growing Together, and Serving People. For more information or to get involved contact Eric at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The Journey Kids/Babies (0-5th grade) meet on Sunday mornings during the 10:30AM service. Your kids will enjoy a fun, safe and exciting place where they can learn and grow in God’s word. They will have a blast in our preschool and elementary areas through music, crafts, bible stories and games that teach them God’s word in a fun, interactive way. For more information or to get involved contact Wendy at email@example.com.
What is the vision of Dinner Club?
Our vision is simple, yet very vital to the life of our house. We believe people connect through relationships. Dinner Clubs (DC’s) are designed to begin, develop and deepen relationships of people through the simple act of hanging out and having dinner together. Relax and have fun with it… relationships WILL happen. We also believe Dinner Clubs embody four basic principles of discipleship. They are Relational, Biblical, Missional and Reproducible.
How to actually get started.
Decide what night of the week, time and date you would like to hold your first DC and get it on the calendar.
Establish how often your DC will come together. (Example: Once a month, on the 1st Friday night, starting in September)
Choose 3-4 couples or 6-8 singles (depending on if you are married or single) you would like to get to know and invite them to your first DC. Crazy thought... They don't even have to be part of our church!
Gather and develop an email list, text numbers, FB messaging group or some form of communication you will use to communicate with your DC members.
Rules for a successful Dinner Club.
No kids allowed! If you have little ones, find a sitter! We all love kiddos, but this night is for us adults to build life long relationships and friendships that are vital to the health of our House.
On your night to host, you will do everything: plan, shop, cook and clean. The nights you are a guest, you just show up, drink your favorite beverage, eat amazing food, laugh until you cry and leave your friend’s kitchen an absolute crime scene.
You are not allowed to bring anything to dinner if it's not your night to host, unless it's your favorite beverage.
I've started a Dinner Club... What's next?
After sending out your initial invitations, do a follow up with everyone to secure the first date and time… then you’re off and running! Remember; let the main thing be the main thing. DC’s are about building relationships and doing life together! If you do this, you will develop and deepen relationships with people that will last a lifetime. This could be one of the most enriching experiences you and your newfound friends will ever have. Just imagine the depth of friendships and discipleship that will happen, as you actually begin to do what Jesus did with His friends. Enjoy your new journey into Dinner Club!

The Journey Church exists to love God, grow together and serve people. One of our heart-felt desires is to serve our community and world by becoming Jesus with skin on. We are privileged to reach beyond the Sunday service and help meet needs of people in our community. We do this through our "Serve People Events." Each year, we team up with business's like Academy Sports, Walmart, and Sam's Club to provide shoes for hundred's of students in the Waller Independent School District at Christmas. After Waller High Graduation, we hand out thousands of cold water bottles (check out the video below), create bedrooms for children in our community who don't have beds, and assist with many other projects in and around our community throughout the year. These are all ways we serve together bringing hope and life-change to a hurting world.
Room for Dreams
Room for Dreams
"Room for Dreams" exists to love, comfort and provide for those in need by designing, restoring, and creating new bedroom spaces for deserving children. We desire to provide a safe haven, in which children flourish; surrounded, inspired and motivated by things they love!
We will receive most candidates from Waller Assistance Restoration Ministries, Inc; a local non-profit who provides emergency assistance with the goal of restoration. Prior to the referral, W.A.R.M. conducts an application process, addressing the family's needs, allowing "Room for Dreams" to proceed in confidence.
After receiving the referral, our team will spend time with the family; specifically focused on getting to know the child(ren). During that time, we aim to discover the child's passions; what they love, including, hobbies, free-time activities, inspirations, and aspirations! Our desire is that the children we work with would have a “Room for Dreams” as they are enveloped by a new space that motivates, comforts and inspires them!
After assessing the current condition of their space, we will address the necessary repairs, as well as what aesthetic improvements would enhance the room. Repairs and improvements may include sheet rock, flooring, window treatments, hardware, furniture, bedding, lamps, plugs, switches, etc. Once completing our assessment, the design team will meet to create a plan for the child's new dream room.
In order to meet our goal of completing a minimum of 6 bedroom spaces per year, we continuously seek to acquire pieces for a furniture bank, which provides inventory for our projects. In order to best appropriate our resources, we find joy in utilizing pieces we have, along with those donated or found. We re-purpose, re-use, & re-cycle items that others see no value in; re-creating them to work with our design plan. In addition, we seek to recruit volunteers skilled in various trades to join our team, utilizing the gifts and talents God has given them! =)
